I was raised in a family cognizant of, if not devoted to art, art education and art appreciation. Wood, with all its wonderful grain and color diversity, provides an excellent medium for design exploration and development of surface decoration. Wood can stand in beauty on it's own or combine in harmony or contrast with other media.

The ultimate goal in my artistic career is to consistently create woodturning that earns the term "exquisite". Only a few Master Woodturners have reached this level; Prestini, Stocksdale and Ellsworth are among the few. I simply want my life with wood to be an ongoing adventure and my creations works of enduring beauty.
